The beautiful new art gallery, Stala Contemporary in West Leederville was the perfect setting to welcome singer and pianist Erin Hickey to the Lit Live family. Her rich mezzo voice singing songs by Adele, Nick Cave and Joni Mitchell rang out around the gallery's great acoustics.
Caitlin Beresford-Ord brought tears of sadness with her sensitive rendition of Lauren Groff's story of domestic abuse, The Wind, and then made us all laugh with Caitlin Moran's (posthumous) letter to her daughter. Greg McNeill brought smiles of recognition with Lines in the Sand - a story about a wife who's had a gutful! His letter by Nick Cave accompanied by Erin on piano was powerful.
