Lit Live continues its Art of Storytelling series in art galleries.

Mothers, sons, daughters and partners came together for a sunny afternoon in the Perth hills.

Juniper Galleries was bathed in sunlight, and Greg and I took our place in Robert Juniper's old music room to performed stories about mothers and the lessons we learn - or don't - in Lessons My Mother Taught Me.

"My mother taught me contortionism: Will you look at the dirt on the back of your neck!"

This was followed by live music in the garden and a lovely exhibition in the gallery titled Holiday, featuring 30 local artists.

Art, music, wine and stories - a perfect combination!
